Welcome to the Stargate Team SG-5
SG5 is a "spin-off" from SG8. SG8 was started in 2003 and has provided an entertaining environment for our simmers for the last five years. In the year 2008, due to technological issues as well as surplus in size, SG8 was split into three smaller sims: SG5, SG7, and SG8.
The three sims still carry loose ties with one another, and prospective members are encouraged to view through all three sims to see which one best suits their simming needs. Each have tried to distinguish themselves individually, while maintaining small parts of what made SG8 the great community that it was.
Here's a rough break down of the other two sims:
Here at SG5 we are strongly based on the science part of science fiction. Action and character development are an essential part of a good story but we take the view that a good science fiction story has to be one that could not occur in a non-science fiction setting.
Our Rating is: PG13. If you are under 13 then you do not have permission to view this site.
But other than that, welcome to SG5.
This site is still under development, so please bear with me.

- SG7: Full of military action for the fast paced writer, with enough puzzles to keep you on your toes. Rating: G-PG13
- SG8: Character driven stories and story arcs, with enough puzzles and action to keep the masses happy. However, SG8 is an adult rated site (NC18).

As you may have noticed, there hasn't been much posting on here of late. Both of our hosts and a number of our players are busy with Real Life at the moment. As a result, SG-5 will be taking a break.
If you would like to continue playing in a Stargate sim, please drop me a line at FOXY @ SLASIMS.COM (removing the spaces) and I'll put you in touch with the hosts of other Stargate games we have running at the moment. If there are enough people interested and we have volunteers to run it, SG-5 will resume at a later date.

Right, seeing as we haven't heard much from Russ in the last few weeks, I can only assume that he's got a lot on his plate at the moment and thus, is unavailable.
What I'd like, if it is OK, is a list of everyone who is still around, so I can see if I can sort something out and at least get the nucleus of a story together. I've got a few ideas how it can work out, basing it off Russ told me, so if we can hold it together till he gets back that would be perfect.
